About Kendrick Mountain Consulting
Kendrick Mountain Consulting is the mountain-facing practice of Kendrick Online Consulting. The work is websites and GEO, AEO, and SEO optimization for businesses in the San Bernardino Mountains.
The practice is led by founder Mark Kendrick. He played professional golf until he was about 30, then started building websites and online marketing systems around 1998–1999 — before WordPress, Facebook, or social media marketing as most businesses now know it. Roughly 27 years of website marketing later, the through-line is the same: people do not simply buy products or services. They buy knowledge, credibility, experience, and trust.
How the work is done
There is no single magic SEO trick. The strongest marketing comes from understanding the business itself. A project starts by learning what the owner actually knows: the questions customers ask, the mistakes they make, the stories, and what makes the market and the approach different. That becomes a knowledge base, then useful site content, service pages, location pages, FAQs, and Power Pages.
A Power Page is an exceptionally useful page around an important topic, service, or geographic market. It is not length for SEO. It should answer real customer questions and deserve to be discovered because it is useful.
AI organizes, expands, structures, and communicates that material. It does not replace the client’s expertise, and it should not write generic copy about the business. Interviews and knowledge bases are the source.
A website is an asset to keep improving — not a one-and-done project. Measurement, content, search, and conversion work sit in that loop. The working question is “What can we make better next?” The principle is ABC: always be closing, caring, consistent, and growing.
SEO, GEO, AEO, and a site people will actually use
SEO has moved from keyword stuffing to useful content, local relevance, technical performance, mobile usability, and user experience. Search is now also GEO and AEO: making a business understandable, credible, relevant, and discoverable to AI search and answer systems, not only to traditional rankings. SEO is expanding, not disappearing. The GEO + AEO + SEO page is the longer version of that approach.
A slow, unclear, or mobile-broken site still loses people. Traffic has to convert into conversations, calls, appointments, and customers. Web development is part of that, not an add-on.
Why the mountains
Mark Kendrick is from the San Bernardino area, spent many years near the Southern California coast, and now spends roughly half his time in the mountain communities, including the Big Bear area. The communities are not identical markets. Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs, Crestline, and the surrounding towns differ in businesses, customers, and tourism. Full-time residents have different needs from second-home owners and weekend visitors, and someone searching from Orange County often behaves differently from someone who lives here year-round.
The goal is long-term relationships with mountain businesses, not simply selling a website. The mix can include web development, SEO, GEO, knowledge-base work, Power Pages, video, content, analytics, and conversion work. Technology will keep changing. The aim does not: help the right customer find the right business, show why it deserves trust, and turn that into a real relationship.
This is not a real estate brokerage. Real estate professionals may hire the practice for a site or search work. The public brand is consulting: web development, GEO, AEO, and SEO.
Background
Early work included websites and an online scheduling platform for golf professionals — eventually hundreds of profiles — then video production and instructional and promotional golf content in the DVD and television era. As search became how people found businesses, the work moved toward SEO and lead generation, including a service called Rewrite Code focused on SEO, content, local search, lead generation, and Power Pages.
That marketing and lead-generation work has contributed to millions of dollars in leads and business opportunities across local services, events, legal lead generation, photography, video, and corporate sites. Some digital work was part of businesses later sold for millions. Company names are not listed here. If you need specifics on a project type, ask.
